Proposal for the Third Mission
One of the three primary strategic goals of Alte University is to actively engage in community involvement and implement relevant initiatives. We believe in the transformative power of education to drive positive change in society, which is also reflected in our mission. As an educational institution, we fully recognize the role and impact of our targeted actions on community development. Accordingly, we actively carry out projects and activities in this direction.
By sharing the knowledge accumulated within the institution, the university contributes to the realization of the lifelong learning principle, assists specific segments in overcoming current challenges, raises awareness about technologies, fosters innovation and entrepreneurship, and thus plays a significant role in community development.
The projects to be implemented under the third mission can be highly diverse and address various challenges and fields. Based on our profile and strategic goals, we have identified six core focus areas within which we will initiate and implement relevant short- and long-term projects.
Six Core Focus Areas of the Third Mission:
- Support and development of high school graduates involve career planning, profession selection, preparation for unified national exams, understanding the specifics of various professions, and other related areas.
- Support and involvement of high school teachers in projects aim to address the existing communication problems between universities and schools and to simplify the process of integrating students into university life through collaborative efforts.
- Raising awareness about technologies and supporting interested parties in this area. Particular emphasis is placed on empowering women and addressing the needs of populations living in rural areas.
- Offering continuous education programs for interested parties to promote their ongoing development and effectively address existing challenges.
- support for innovation and entrepreneurship to facilitate the initiation of new developments and the growth of viable business ideas in the country.
- Consulting activities aimed at addressing challenges faced by various organizations by utilizing the expertise available at the university.
It is noteworthy that any representative of the university's structural units has an equal opportunity to initiate projects or activities under the third mission.
The initiation of projects or activities under the third mission can be undertaken by any structural unit of the university. A detailed description of the project or activity, along with information on the required resources, will be submitted to the Vice President for Marketing and Business Development. If the content of the proposed project or activity aligns with the university’s strategic goals and the requested resources do not exceed the budgetary allocation for the beginning of the fiscal year, the project will be approved or rejected by the Vice President after thorough review with the relevant structural unit.
From 2023 onwards, detailed records of the activities carried out, ongoing, and planned in these areas will be maintained.
A detailed report on the projects implemented under the third mission during the 2023-2024 academic year will be published in October 2024.
