Scientific Database

The library facilities are accessible to all members of the Alte University community, including students, academic and adjunct faculty, alumni, employers collaborating under university agreements, administrative and support staff.

The library facilities are accessible to all members of the Alte University community, including students, academic and adjunct faculty, alumni, employers collaborating under university agreements, administrative and support staff, as well as students and faculty from affiliated educational institutions.&nbsp;Student access to the library is automated upon enrollment, once their personal information is registered in the university's database. For faculty and other university personnel, library access is managed based on data provided by the Human Resources and Administration Department, including name, surname, ID number, and email.&nbsp;Library users can remotely reserve desired books through the library's electronic platform. Reserved books are held under the user's name for a period of three working days before being issued. Failure to collect a reserved book within this timeframe results in reservation cancellation.&nbsp;Students visiting the library are identified by their personal number or student identification code. Any changes to a reader's personal information, such as name, address, ID, or contact details, must be promptly reported to library staff.&nbsp;Each reader number is designated for individual use and cannot be shared with others. Familiarity with library regulations is mandatory for all patrons.&nbsp;In cases of library rule violations, a reader's unique number may be temporarily suspended, resulting in restricted access to library resources for a specified duration.&nbsp;&nbsp;Library Reading Room Code of Conduct:<ul><li>Readers are required to adhere to regulations governing order, conduct, and hygiene within the reading room premises.</li><li>Upon completion of material usage, it is prohibited to leave it unattended. All materials must be returned to the librarian.</li><li>Materials utilized during library hours must be returned to the librarian prior to the library's closing time, except for literature issued for extended periods.</li><li>To access books for on-site use, students must present a valid identification card, which will be retained by the library until the conclusion of their visit.</li><li>Readers should promptly notify the librarian to address any concerns or issues.</li></ul> It is possible to take 3–4 books out of the library at the same time. The book is issued and received by the librarian through an electronic program. The program indicates the dates of book withdrawal and return. The reader is obliged to return the book within the specified timeframe unless deferment is possible.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;In the case of non-return of the book on time, the following conditions apply:<ul><li>The reader can defer the return of the book by personal agreement with the librarian;</li><li>The return of the book can be postponed only if there is no demand for the book;</li></ul>&nbsp;&nbsp;In the event of non-return, delay, or damage to the book, the following rules apply:<ul><li>14 days after the return of the book, the reader will no longer be able to use the library services;</li><li>A book that is withdrawn more than 30 days after its return date is automatically considered lost;</li><li>The reader is obliged to replace the lost copy with a copy of the same or similar subject;</li><li>If a person notices a late return of a book or relevant material, it is possible to waive the right to remove the relevant literature from the library, and students with debts will not be issued a diploma;</li></ul>&nbsp; Policy for Borrowing Printed and Electronic Books and Other Materials - Return Guidelines:Materials borrowed from the library are issued for varying durations based on format and the number of available copies:<ul><li>Fiction: 4 weeks</li><li>Manuals (if there are at least two copies available): 1 semester</li><li>Textbooks (if there are at least two copies available): 1 - 7 days</li><li>Other categories of books: 14 - 30 days &nbsp; &nbsp;</li></ul>
